美國(guó)特使離中國(guó)北韓核問(wèn)題無(wú)進(jìn)展 (US Envoy Leaving China Without Progress on North Korean Nuclear Issue)

中國(guó)官員與美國(guó)北韓核問(wèn)題首席特使未能就導(dǎo)致北韓拖延廢除核計(jì)劃的財(cái)務(wù)糾紛取得進(jìn)展。美國(guó)助理國(guó)務(wù)卿希爾星期四結(jié)束對(duì)北京為期兩天的訪問(wèn)。希爾說(shuō)，兩國(guó)正在盡最大努力，使北韓獲得從2005年以來(lái)因美國(guó)制裁被凍結(jié)在澳門(mén)一家銀行的2500萬(wàn)美元的款項(xiàng)。希爾說(shuō)，發(fā)放這筆款項(xiàng)是一個(gè)復(fù)雜的政府問(wèn)題，他們也在與私營(yíng)機(jī)構(gòu)商談解決這個(gè)問(wèn)題。

北韓已經(jīng)錯(cuò)過(guò)了在4月開(kāi)始關(guān)閉其主要核反應(yīng)堆的最后期限。北韓堅(jiān)持說(shuō)要必須先從這家澳門(mén)銀行拿到這筆款項(xiàng)。

Chinese officials and the top U.S. envoy on North Korea's nuclear program have failed to make progress on a financial dispute that is delaying North Korea's nuclear disarmament. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill wrapped up a two-day visit to Beijing Thursday. Hill said the countries are doing all they can to free up North Korea's money from a Macau bank , where it has been held since 2005 because of U.S. sanctions. He said the release of the funds is a complex governmental issue and that they are also talking with the private sector to resolve it.

North Korea missed an April deadline to begin closing its main nuclear facility, saying it must first have its 25 million dollars from the Macau bank.
